Welcome to my blog!

Hi, I'm Sherri, a happily married, 40-something, stay-at-home, work-at-home, work-outside-the-home mom. I have three boys (one's grown, married and a father himself; one is in high school; and the youngest is in middle school), two dogs, a cat and a bunch of other little critters... I love to crochet and knit and sew. I'm always interested in learning new crafts, like bead stringing, felt doll making, book making, painting ...

Good News and Stuff

Well, the good news is that the CPSIA has amended the new law to clarify that yarn and fabric are safe!  Woo-hoo.  So right now, the only things I have in the CLEARANCE section are things with button eyes or safety eyes.

I decided I had too much going on, so I’ve closed all but two of my online stores.  My main website (http://SherriCrochets.com) and my Etsy store (http://sherricrochets.etsy.com) are the only two that are remaining open at this time.  This also allows me to keep a tighter rein on who is buying my patterns, after finding out about certain customers who post patterns for free on the internet…

I also decided that I needed to start making things that I consider fun again.  So I decided to make myself a life sized chihuahua dog!

Chi - wow - wow!

Chi - wow - wow!

Isn’t she cute?  Since this pic, I’ve also made her a collar.  A boy version will also be available and they will probably have a leash as well.  I’m thinking of all the cute clothes I can design for them, too, as well as different breeds of small dogs (and cats) that can bloom from this.  Patterns for all these things will be available, of course.  The pattern for the dog will be released before the end of this weekend, so stay tuned!

Until next time,
Sherri
