I’m very disappointed with myself lately. I used to always finish every book I started; finished every project I started before beginning another, listed every item I made right after making it, etc, etc… But now, I haven’t finished the last 5 books I”ve started (I haven’t even picked up a book in months) and I have at least 5 crochet projects going and at least 3 knitted ones and many scarves and re-useable bags that have not been listed and probably 5 patterns that need to be typed up.
Here’s a list of unfinished projects off the top of my head …
Crochet:
*Dachsund (one is done, one is not);
*Big crocheted sock monkey;
*a crocheted snuggie for my grandson for Christmas;
*a triangle shawl that I’ve kept in my car to work on when I’m out;
Knitting:
*a small knitted sock monkey (key chain sized);
*a cute orange garter stitch scarf;
*an ugly black and gold scarf (maybe I can’t finish it because I think it’s ugly?);
*a fluffy blue, purple and pink scarf;
*Knitty’s Sock-topus that I started at least a year ago …
Needs to be listed:
*dozens of sewn re-useable grocery bags that are so cute, but need pictures and to be listed;
*bunches of destash yarn, books and supplies;
*a female soldier doll I made a year ago;
*a cute brown and green baby hat;
*all the patterns below once I type them up;
Patterns to be typed up:
*knitted sock monkey scarf and hat set;
*crocheted flower scarf / belt;
*sock monkey sweater / hat / scarf set;
*dachsund dog life-like pet;
Ideas that I have that I want to start:
*winter hats in my son’s school colors;
*matching scarves for the hats;
*I really want to crochet a bunch of dish clothes / wash clothes;
I think I should print out this and check off things as I get them done?

You are not alone. I used to always finish everything too and this past year I have also slipped. and now have items unlisted, WIPs and unread books. Shall we make a New Year’s resolution to get back on track? Ticking things off of a list is a great way to register our accomplishments.
